Welcome to the bird journal. If you frequented the old site, this one is better. Better host, cleaner design, faster, smarter, stronger... you probably get the picture. Don't worry about the buttons for now, as they don't go anywhere yet.

Speaking of new, meet Casper. He's been living here for about a month and a half now, and is finally settling in -- yes, finally, after a month and a half. We're far enough into the training process that it's not a major breakthrough that he doesn't think I'm going to eat him every time I open the cage door. That's him at the top, committing a design faux pas by looking away from the screen. Okay, so maybe I could've flipped it when I edited everything, but I didn't.

Anyway, it's late and I'm tired. Keep checking back for upcoming toy and product reviews, articles on cage-buying tips, and advice on finding a budgerigar (that's what bird folks call "parakeets").
